The Sharper Image KP-W400 Single Wine Chiller has received mostly negative reviews from purchasers. The single largest complaint is that the chiller does not do its job at all. The temperature read out will show that the bottle is at its correct temperature, when in reality it is not. Only part of the bottle will feel cool to the touch and the rest is warm. It becomes obvious upon pouring that only the glass got slightly chilly but didn’t reach the contents. Some reviewers feel that the way the machine holds the bottle to blame.

Another common complaint among reviewers is that it takes up to an hour to reach the stated temperature. One went as far as leaving the bottle in the chiller for two hours and still never got the contents to chill.
